The Department of Russian Language is a unique subdivision of Tomsk Polytechnic University, which concerns itself primarily with the advancement of the Russian language in Russia and in foreign countries.
The aim of the Department’s work is to reinforce the position of the Russian language in Russia and abroad, by increasing interest for the study of Russian language, increasing the number of people speaking Russian, and spreading Russian language education in foreign countries.
In this regard, the Department has implemented a series of special programmes, courses, discussion areas, and other different measures for the advancement of the Russian language.
